This data is validated by our experts and is then distributed to any desired global end-point within the investment industry, comprising platforms, wealth managers, investment boutiques and market data vendors.

    Our business is built around three key pillars of expertise, so as well as our fund data capabilities, we also deliver industry leading solutions and services to our clients within the regulatory space, supporting them with Solvency II and MiFID II reporting and distribution requirements. Digital Solutions is our final pillar, and we have been delivering a range of tools to our clients for many years including investment Research Centres, Digital Factsheets and Income Forecasters.

    As an Automation Test Analyst you will be responsible for helping to train other members of the Test team in Automation, have a direct influence on which technologies are used and a say in influencing the future direction of the product set as a key member of the Scrum team.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Identifying, designing, reviewing, amending and executing test cases for a project
    • Work with Test Manager to define the appropriate testing approach for a project and contribute towards/write project test plans defining exit criteria
    • Design and write automated test scripts using C# Design and write UI functional test scripts using C# Selenium Webdriver
    • Work closely with your scrum team to ensure a high level of test coverage
    • Reporting of defects clearly and concisely and managing these through to resolution with relevant stakeholders
    • Documenting results of testing undertaken
    • Support the Test Manager in guiding and mentoring Junior Test Analysts, as required
    • Promote good testing practices throughout the development process
    • Adhere to deadlines, prioritise work and provide progress reports
    • Participate in daily project team stand-up meetings
    • Participate in the post-project review process
    • Escalate key test issues to the Test Manager and Project team as required

    Key objectives of the role:

    • Develop testing knowledge and continue to learn about automated testing processes
    • Provide feedback on how existing automated frameworks can be improved
    • Ensure projects worked upon have sufficient test plans and test coverage and are documented accordingly

    Requirements

    Key skills and experience:

    • Strong C# and an understanding of frameworks/design patterns (Page Object Model)
    • Selenium Webdriver
    • Performance testing experience using JMeter or similar
    • API testing using Fiddler or a similar tool
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with the ability to present outputs in a clear and unambiguous manner
    • Highly organised and methodical
    • An enquiring mind with strong analytical skills
    • Ability to work well in a team or autonomously, building productive working relationships
    • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload in an efficient and timely manner, working to strict deadlines
    • Ability to work and perform in a high pressurised environment and when facing uncertainty

    • Helps the Scrum Team maintain a healthy backlog of sprint ready user stories
    • Works as part of a team delivering digital products and front end web tools
    • Can also work independently and on company-wide initiatives outside of the Scrum process
    • Works with the Product Owner in the refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria
    • Supports the evolution of business analysis standards within FundsLibrary
    • Works with Clients, Business Development and Product Owners to help define and shape potential future work and products
    • Ensures that developed product is fit for purpose and is able to be supported operationally
    • Contributes ideas to the development of internal products
    • Supports the Product Owner in the Sales Process, for example in the creation of RFPs
    • Assists in the production of any BAU documentation and the handover of the live solution to the Client Service team
    • Participates in daily Scrum Team ceremonies
    • Facilitates the development of business cases and carry out feasibility studies on new projects

    What are we looking for?

    • A level (Grade C) or above
    • Willingness to learn, share and develop knowledge and skills and to support the development of others
    • Good understanding of Agile processes
    • Proficiency in using MS Products, in particular Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Excellent attention to detail and proven problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills
    • Can demonstrate capability as a Business Analyst, within an Agile environment
    • Ability to manage workload in an efficient and timely manner, yet confident to respond to changing business needs
    • Proven experience of managing stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organisation

    We are entering an exciting new growth phase, and are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team of passionate Software Developers?

    The Role

    With a proficiency in the planning and management of big data infrastructure accompanied by expertise in logical and physical database design, you will be ideally suited to work with our growing repository of investment data. Working closely with our Scrum teams, you will be an effective team player with strong problem solving and communication skills capable of dealing with all areas of the business. Existing development experience with C# or familiarity with Azure will be a distinct advantage.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Research and recommend data storage solutions to meet the needs of the business
    • Work with large-scale SQL Server databases
    • Work with the development teams to ensure optimal performance for data access and storage
    • Perform the day-to-day management of database operations including security, backups and other maintenance tasks
    • Recommend and implement automation of processes where possible

    Qualifications

    • Relevant work experience
    • Engineering science or numerate degree desirable

    Knowledge

    • Advanced SQL
    • Logical and physical database design and modelling
    • Performance and sociability techniques
    • C#. JSON, Cloud-based data warehouses desirable

    Experience

    • 5+ years experience in database design and administration
    • Working with large scale SQL server databases
    • Experience with one or more additional database technologies e.g. Oracle, Couchbase
    • Azure experience would be desirable
