Head of Data Services Demonstrates FundsLibrary Values
On Sunday 10 June, our Head of Data Services ran and won for the second time the Chew Valley 10K having been part of the North Somerset AC running club for the last five years. It demonstrates his personal determination and commitment, which only strengthens his delivery when he is back in the office.
He achieved a very impressive time of 33.44 minutes in a race route that offers many challenges.
James said: “The race has a fast start but then quickly climbs after the 4k marker with two big climbs making achieving a PB extra difficult.”
He was not far off his Personal Best of 31.16 minutes though, something he can be immensely proud of.
Not only has James been training extra hard for this event – training almost every day with a mixture of track, road and gym sessions – he also competed in and won the second 10k race of the GWR Towpath Series on Friday 15 June.
James, on a high from this fantastic week of racing wins, is keen to continue his spate of running achievements by running some PBs over the summer, which should set him up to compete at a high level nationally next year.
Arun Sarwal, CEO of FundsLibrary, said: “We wish James all the very best and thank him for showing this same desire to succeed in his day-to-day work at FundsLibrary.”
